NEPAL, COUNTRY OF CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS

Nepal is also a country of cultural diversity. The diversity created is the result of mainly the topography of the country. Due to the diverse topography,  altogether different forms of life has  developed in the northern  Himalayan valleys and the southern plains of the Terai’s a result, the living style of people, their customs and traditions are different. According to Prithvi Narayan Shah, Nepal is a common garden of 4 caste and 36 sub caste. People of different customs and ethnic groups live here and people of different castes have their cultures. Exotic cultures have developed which differ with mid hills and southern plains being the traditions. The religion, language, festivals, rituals, etc differ according to the castes. In spite of the differences in castes, customs, and languages we live together like a garland made of different flowers that explains “Unity in Diversity”.
